Fourteen years ago tonight, Todd asked me to marry him. We went to Juniper Inn and had a great dinner and then he presented me with a poem and a HUGE, the size of a 5 gallon bucket, block of ice (I like to crush ice with my teeth!). I still have the poem but don't remember exactly what it said -- something about choosing Mr. Right and having to break the ice to find my ring. We went to my house after that and I tried everything I could think of to break through the ice. I put it in the bathtub and ran hot water over it, I got my dad's chisel and tried breaking it apart, and I had my siblings helping me. Finally we broke it apart enough that I could get to this little plastic bag. Inside of this bag was a CTR ring, which now made sense about the part of the poem choosing Mr. Right. After all of that work, Todd pulled my real ring out of his pocket and proposed to me. Up to that point, that was definitely the happiest day of my life. It's been 14 years of love and happiness ever since. We have been very blessed with a great marriage and friendship. Todd truly is my best friend and I love to spend all the time I can with him.
