Mid-January Melt Down

I gave you fair warning that tax season was about to begin -- thus no new posts in a few weeks. For those not in the accounting professional, tax season is like child birth, you remember that it is bad but don't necessarily remember how bad until you are in the thick of it. My "tax season" is from January - mid-March, although true tax season goes until April 15th.

Besides the bitter, January cold, I feel like all I do is sit at a computer day in and day out, and most nights as well. I love my job (and am grateful for my job), I'm just having one of those days. My family is very supportive but my extra hours take their toll on my family as well. Tyler's 12th birthday is next week and I haven't given alot of thought to that special day. I want to so something since he will be receiving the Priesthood the day after his birthday but I can't find/make the time to put something together.

There is an Aggie basketball game today and on days like today, going to an Aggies game just doesn't appeal to me. However, my family wouldn't go without me so I put a smile on my face and go, all the while thinking of everything else I need to be doing besides watching basketball!!

Okay -- enough of my pity party. I know this too shall pass and that's what I'll be living by for the next few weeks. Thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time. It just seems like it is that time of year. Last week wasn't so great for me neither. I sure do hope this one is a lot better. Hang in there - the sun will come up tomorrow! (That is one of Mark's famous quotes!) If you ever need to talk I am always here.
Keep smiling!
