Meet Trixie

Kody had been saying he wanted a puppy most of the summer. Those who know me, know that the animals are our house are Todd's deal. I have 4 mouths to feed and 4 bodies to clean-up after inside the house -- I am not taking on any mouths or bodies outside of the house. So I would let Kody's words pretty much go unnoticed hoping that once summer was over this idea would pass.

One day in late July, Kody went to play with Emma, Porter, and Cole. They had just gotten a new puppy the day before. (This puppy was to replace their other puppy that got ran over.) Kody immediately fell in love with the puppy. After playing with his cousins and the dog all day, he called me and asked if he could have a puppy from the same litter. Todd and I discussed it and the next day Kody became the proud owner of Trixie.

Trixie is a miniature corgi. She won't get much bigger than what she is now - and that's not very big! She's a fun little puppy and has been a really good dog for our family. She probably should be a house dog, because of her size, but that won't be happening at our house. Although, I'm smart enough to know that she probably has been in the house while I've been gone! We've had her about a month and her personality is starting to show. It's fun to watch her play in the backyard while I'm in the kitchen. Kody is thrilled with her and wants to take her everywhere we go. She has gone with us to a baseball game, to the county fair, and camping in Wyoming.
