By the time church arrived I was a mess. I made it through Primary but during Sunday School the tears just started to flow. I finally decided that I was better off having a really good cry at home than trying to not cry during church. This is my typical pattern, a really good cry helps me get things back into perspective and then I can function again.
April called after church to see how I was. I tried really hard to say I was fine but thankfully she knows me better than that and knows I won't ask for help. A few hours later, she come over with her calendar in hand and was going to be my personal assistant and family chef for the week. I tried to fight it and tell her that I was fine and Todd and I had things under control. She was very persistent and I finally gave in to having her cook dinner for our family for the entire week! What a HUGE relief!! I could work until about 5, come home and do home stuff without having to fix dinner. I was very embarrassed the first night but as the week went on both families really enjoyed getting together and spending a few minutes together. April will never know how much of a blessing that was to me. They are just the absolute best friends!
As the week came to an end, we were all a little sad and decided that we'd like to eat together once a week, if our schedules work out. We've called it Neighbor Night and it has been a lot of fun. April and I take turns each week, all the kids have been really good to eat whatever was fixed, and we've had some great laughs.
Thanks Godderidge's for coming to our rescue! We Love You!
