Shopping for a Piano

I'm so excited -- today I'm shopping for a piano. I've waited and waited and waited for one but there was always something else that we needed to use the money for. Back in the spring when the IRS first announced to stimulus package, Todd asked me what we should do with that money. I thought we should finish the basement bathroom. Todd said "No, I want you to get a piano." Maybe a little selfish, but I didn't argue with him about it. I've been looking but couldn't decide whether to buy a brand new one or look for a good used one. In yesterdays newspaper, there was an advertisement for a inventory liquidation at a piano store in Logan. I don't think I'll buy today but I am going to see what is available. If I find something that is just right, then maybe I'll buy one.

I remember thinking my mom was the meanest mom ever to make me take piano lessons and then to have to practice 30-45 minutes a day. However, now I'm go grateful for the ability to play the piano and I've missed not having one to sit down and play whenever I felt like it. When I was still living at home, I used the piano to release my frustrations, the madder I was, the louder I played. I also love to play church hymns and Christmas Carols. I can't wait to be able to that in my own home.
