Thankful for....

The past few days I've been thinking alot about how many wonderful blessings I have. Most of which I wonder if I'm worthy of, but life would be so meaningless without them.

1. Yesterday, we took the opportunity to go to the SLC airport and welcome home a family friend, Ryan Adams. Long story short, Todd was friends with Jim and Nancy Adams before Todd and I started dating. Jim and Nancy had 3 young boys. The youngest two were 7 year old twins -- Randy and Ryan. After spending 3 minutes with these boys, I was certain I didn't want boys! What one didn't think of the other one did! Constant trouble! As the years have gone by, we've stayed in touch and the summer these boys were going to be seniors they worked for Todd. Of course, Tyler and Kody ate that up! To this day, all Randy and Ryan are, are taller boys! We love them! They are such good examples for Tyler and Kody. They will text Tyler for hours, they'll play basketball, ride 4 wheelers, camp, swim, anything Tyler and Kody want to do Randy and Ryan are game. I'm so grateful for these positive example in Tyler and Kody's lives.

2. A wonderful place to live. As spring has sprung this past week, Todd and I have both made the comment that the people of Smithfield are ready for outside activities. Since we have a perfect view of Forrester Acres, its been interesting and fun to watch soccer games start, people start walking the walking path, people riding bikes, dogs running, children laughing, parents yelling. I love living by Forrester Acres. I can't wait for softball games to start. One of our favorite late summer evenings is to just ride our bikes around Forrester Acres and watch the softball/baseball games. I've had many people ask me if living by Forrester Acres bothers me -- bothers me, heavens no! I LOVE IT!!!

3. The ability to watch Tyler grow. Since Tyler has started middle school, fashion has become a very important thing for him. (Please remember that this was my child who could sleep in a t-shirt and then be perfectly fine wearing it to school the next day!! ) I remember being there, wanting to be "cool" and "in" with everyone else. This new season of life has given us the opportunity to talk about what is really important, and who is really important to us. I will say, as a mom I have a soft spot and we did go to America Eagle last night and get some new levi's for Tyler. I was prepared for $70 pants, which he had to pay half, but I was pleasantly surprised at the $40 price tag.

4. The ability to watch Kody develop his personality. Kody has always been a very tenderhearted child. He has a special love for small children and his friends. He understands the needs of others, without much explaining from me. Kody will always make the necessary adjustments to his plan to accommodate others. He loves the outdoors and anything round -- aka basketball, golf ball, bike wheels. etc.

5. My job. I enjoy the people I work with. They are family to me. On Wednesday we went to lunch for Administrative Assistants Day. Hamilton's was busy, (although I think they are slow even when they aren't busy) and we waited almost 1 1/2 hours before we got our food. We laughed, talked, laughed, and talked some more. When we realized how much time had passed, we were all very surprised. There aren't very many days I don't want to go to work, and most of the days I don't want to go, I'm just tired but once I get there things are fine.

This is just a short list of the many things I've thought about lately. Take time to think about what you take for granted and realize what a blessing those things are to you. I feel a great amount of appreciated to my Heavenly Father for allowing these things in my life.
