On June 26-27, 2009, our ward celebrated being a ward for 150 years. Scott and Hollie put together a fabulous party. We trekked from Forrester Acres to the City Park and back. The Primary children decorated whatever they had to resembled covered wagons and some dressed in pioneer attire. Todd and I pulled a carriage for some of the older sisters in the ward to ride in and enjoy the activities. On the way back to Forrester Acres from the City Park, we had Indians attack us (the young men played the part well!) In one of the pictures below, you can see that Kody's covered wagon was shot at with an arrow. After the trek we had a great dinner and program at Forrester Acres. The kids played games well into the night. Kody spent the night on the football field with the Godderidge's and Tyler stayed with Matt Downs.
The next morning we were served a delicious breakfast and continued to enjoy our ward members company. I wasn't too sure how this activity would go but it was a very nice get-together and was enjoyed by many.
These are just random pictures I took throughout the event.
